I had read in one discussion that an influencer in Instagram is paid from $200 to $400 per post as endorsement of a product. And influencer is one who has 10,000 followers. What I understand in Instagram is being a social media with photos as the main ingredient. And if I will be posting my selfie every day, how would I get followers? What do you think is a good method to gain followers in Instagram?

Having a theme is definitely good. Or just work harder with your personal account, which is what I'm doing. I'm going to be purchasing more IG accounts that already have followers though. That works, too. lol
Post more than seflies. You need high quality photos to get attention on Instagram these days. Use your story to direct people to your new posts, because the Instagram feed doesn't show all posts or posts in order. Follow similar accounts to yours, interact by commenting on their posts, use lots of hashtags that are related to your content type (ones that are popular and likely to be searched).
It's not necessarily hard to build a following on Instagram. You just need to put some thought into it and have quality into it - it's a lot like a blog honestly.

I helped a client get some 1200 Instagram followers to over 4,000. Hashtags are definitely the key. Also try using some Instagram image uploaders where you gain tokens which you can cash in later for views from other users.

I won't reveal here my prices for freelance social media management for clients, as this is not a promotional thread. But my rates are fair and I have worked with many clients before in helping them boost their Facebook likes and Instagram followers. With excellent results, and genuine promotion. I don't use bots or software. I simply do the work.
This is interesting as I'm doing some Facebook boosting - and even with good stuff - there isn't a chance in anything my site will get big traffic - not with a $100 budget! So, my goal is to reach influencers, but I don't know where they are out there. Well, one strategy I'm doing is simply advertising to cities where my target audience is more likely to be.

Sure, you can become an Instagram Influencer if you want but in my opinion. Don't bother doing it.
There are too many Celebrities and Influencers in todays world that there's not enough for everyone. All that's left is a few crumbs and everyone trying to become Famous is struggling to eat those few crumbs.
If someone were to come up to me and say: "I'm going to famous someday and I'll make more money than you!"
I'd just reply with: "Sorry pal but there's not enough fame in the world for everybody. You can go ahead but you'll never make it. Good luck anyways."
I'm not trying to crush your dreams if you are wanting to become an Influencer. I'm just saying that in todays world, it's not worth it.
