Ok, so I am thinking about bringing a new tech forum to the internet, and I want to know what YOU would love in a forum about tech. Tutorials, Support, certain main topics.

You name it, and I want to try and implement it.

Thanks guys, I want to make this the best it can be

The most common categories for a Tech Forum:
1. Latest Gadgets
2. Mobile Phone
3. Computers
4. Game Consoles

I would love to see reviews on the latest gadgets as well. In that case, it would be best to hire a few staff members to cover different subjects. Find someone who specializes in video games, another person for computers, etc. It also may be better if you hire someone who can cover more than one subject so you don't have too many staff members.

I know those are common, but I was hoping to maybe find a way to either evolve them or change that focus so the site is more unique than that of a standard tech forum

I like this idea, and I will see if it will be possible to implement it. I have found finding reviewers for free for a new site can be quite hard, but it is certainly something that may appear

You know that you could just do the reviews yourself, and you could also allow members to submit reviews? 😉

Ok, so I am looking to maybe adapt the site, to make it more successful and interesting than just a standard tech site. I seem to see a gap in the market, with mobiles and mobile apps.

Do you think that would be a good or bad idea, honestly and what would you look to focus on, apps, the devices or anything else

Although their are already many Webmaster/tech forums that are extremely popular (You'll have huge competition) I would spy on them a little bit to see what they lack and what you can offer that they don't have.

Personally, I'd like to see more webmaster/tech forums that offer at least a link signature, many people that join want to do this and have decent back links to ones blog/site/community.

Also, good and mature staff members that are active and perhaps assigned specific sections of the forums that they may specialize in.

Clean professional look (Preferably a lighter themed forum)

I would like to see more tutorials and reviews. Not just on systems and phones , but on different games/softwares.
