What shape of avatars for members?

There seems to be a wide variety on XenForo, maybe other software. So who has tried octogons, diamonds etc..? Well, hearts are a little too "girly" for the male members or owners.

I really prefer a square with rounded edges (border-radius 10px or so).
However, sometimes a circle image also looks good like on YouTube.
I have not seen many octagons around, and certainly no triangles lol!

I prefer circular avatars but don't have a problem with square. I have not seen any other shapes anywhere.

Square, rounded square or a circle. It really depend on the theme that is being used, to be honest. I usually prefer the rounded square though
