Being secure online should always be a top priority especially in today's age. I tend to resort to good old-fashioned pen & paper for many of my needs, including backup codes.
I couldn't figure out Authy (not technically inclined at all). How do you like the LP authenticator?
It's good. Works the same as Authy. You scan a code, it gets saved to the app, as long as you have 2FA on your LastPass account then it will automatically back it up to your LP account and you can access it on your iPad/iPhone or any device and if you get a new one, you just login to your LP account and it gets restored. Authy is similar except it has its own password and it randomly prompts you for it to make sure you remember it. I do like that feature. I am just looking to consolidate everything into one place rather than having some things in Authy and others in LP.
Soon I plan to purchase a Yubikey that will work on my PC and then I will have a separate one for my iPad/iPhone so I can use those instead of the codes or with them (depending on my needs) to get into my accounts. They are expensive though: https://www.yubico.com/ Start at $45 for the USB version and $70 for the USB C & Lightning one. So I'd be out $115 + taxes which is a lot. I know they are more secure but dang... lol
