You could hold a forum staff meeting on a private thread in the staff subforum. The disadvantage of that is how the members would have to reload the page to see new posts. Another option is to hold the forum staff meeting on a chat box which allows for immediate feedback from all participants. Or, maybe even host a staff meeting on Facebook via chat. Where do you host your forum staff meetings?

I heard phpBB has a Meeting Mod. So I used to use that on my old phpbb forum.

Our staff uses either google plus, skype, or oovoo. Sometimes we do a video chat which gives us the option of getting to know each other not only by name but also by face, makes the meetings feel more real.

Video chat..skype...if your forum comes with a chatroomthen use the chatroom..just make sure only staff are present for the meeting if you are using the chatroom.

I don't do forum staff meetings as time constraints are always present. Instead, the staff forum is perfect for when staff needs to interact with one and other in a private setting.

Skype, Video Chat I find are more efficient than IM or private threads. This ensures the message gets across faster. also gives you time to socialize with who you are working with.

If everyone on my staff has Skype, I tend to hold one using the chat on Skype. It would be even better if they all had mics, then we could just talk instead of typing, but it just works out that not all of them have mics.

I wonder what kind of mod it is. 😱

Staff meeting... I never had to do it so urgently and desperately. Therefore, talking by making posts and threads at staff section already works. In another forum I'm helping in, we have special IRC channel where we chat daily from random things to serious forum business. Third mostly used is Skype, I guess.

just create a chatbox for staff only, problem solved.

Not that easy to be honest, sometimes some forum mods only allow for 1 general chatbox.

And even then, it's still not that organized.

I usually create a Staff section. I think that it is the best and the easiest solutions, isn't it? 😀

We used to chat on Facebook about the forum, but it's mostly now either in our private forum or our IRC channel.

Private staff forum/section. I think that's commonly used among a majority of people. They work out well and does the job! =D

I imagine that you'd just do it on Skype or a hidden forum. Basically, any way that is private and easy for conversing.

I just use a hidden forum area for staff to converse in for meetings/ideas. No need to try and get everyone available at the same time on Skype or IRC, especially when my staff team is divided between UK times and US times.

Text messages.

I swear one month I had over 50k text messages. 😛 I think to this day I still manage to have probably 10k text messages a month, but they are all from people not staff, but yeah, I think I work best when I can text it all.
