When you get new members on your forum, where do they come from?

Forum Promotion sites in the very beginning, then I hope for it to take off from there. But it's important, whether your forum is small, medium, or large, to continue to promote on promotion forums. It never hurts and it gets your link out there.

Members on my business forum come from here on Forum Promotion, through Google and from referrals and recommendations from existing members.

Definitely. Only as many as you can stay active on though. I use 3 currently to get my name known and bump my topics.

But the fact that it's a promotion forum means that there is more links and less seeing of a specific link.

I don't run a promotion forum. I use them to advertise my blog. It does help when I am in a slump and am desperate for traffic. It does help me a big lot. I've noticed that when I use my blog posting and promotions in check, I can at least for now keep my unique visitors per day between 20 and 50, which I guess is ok for the 2nd month of it's existence, plus being summer.

well most of my members came from me paying people to post on twitter but now i am trying to get people to follow me lol (15FP if you do 😛)
