I used a referral programs on my phpbb forum to send out invitations to hundreds of potential members to sign up. It uses my forum domain email (godaddy email) to send bulk emails on behalf of my other personal emails (for example gmail which i dont care if its blacklisted, i can also register a new one). My major concern is if my godaddy email will ever get blacklisted like that into the junk folder?

Last time I created an android app to send emails to multiple recipients. It was blacklisted in no time cause many students at school used the app.

As a sidenote, MailChimp is a great resource for sending bulk emails. You can use it free

I think it depends on how fast you send them out. If you only send 50-100 an hour, you'll be fine. They only blacklist when you're really spamming and putting a great deal of load on their mail servers.

There is a chance you may get your servers IP blacklisted if it is deemed as sending out spam. How did you get the emails of the "hundreds of potential members"? My biggest worry if I were you would be if the emails would be deemed as spam because if they are then it is likely that the host will kick you off... especially if their servers IP is listed as sending out spam.

well thats why im not risking using my domain emails. i registed some gmail and yahoo that use Mailchimp to send email in bulk. still getting results in junk folder. havent figured it out yet. i have tried 3 different emails. 2 are brand new.

It will not stop the server IP being blacklisted if your emails are seen as spam. The email address used is irrelevant. The reason why webhosts are so against spam is not because they worry about your email address being blacklisted, it is their IP address being blacklisted which results in alot of emails from everyone sharing that IP being rejected and the host having to get the IP address removed from blacklists which takes time and effort.

After trying MailChimp for a couple of days I would say the idea is great. Its really easy to create an email template and everything but nobody will open the email. As soon as its sent, It will land in the junk folder. You can check the report and see the opening rate which is always 0% unless I send it to myself and friends. We will have to find in the spam to open the email to be showed opened in the report.

Honestly in my opinion, if you need to ask this question then it's most likely that you already know the answer will eventually be yes.
