800 years ago the lands of Marador were torn by a cataclysmic event that threatened to destroy land. Humans who had tampered with the powers of twilight suddenly found themselves paying a horrible price as their lands were destroyed and the power of twilight seeped into the world.
This power, which is commonly known as magic amongst humans, changed everything in its path, setting into motion great events which would shape the future of the world.
Now, 800 years later, many things have changed. Most of the north-western Marador is under the control of Chastallion, a proud kingdom of men forged thought blood and battle, and in the north lays the cold ice. In the south mighty nations struggle for power and in the east there is nothing but shadows and twilight. It is a harsh land Marador, cold and foreboding, not a place you would like to venture into without a stout heart.
