Depends. If it's absolutely new, I'd probably sign up and probably leave and wait for it to succeed. If it doesn't, then I haven't lost much. I don't want to become active on a forum which 1 month later is going to the trash or being sold, so I wait a bit.

Hmmmm... it depends on the website I guess. I care more about content than the host but I can't say I'm a fan of ZetaBoards.

I'm not a fan of Zetaboards and how it looks, it just has a different taste that I'm not fond of. I may join depending on how much valuable content and discussion there is, but probably not otherwise.

Well did you ever take a look at the forum rank thread that you posted in brainstorming? Because if you do I would apprieciate feedback on the ranks i suggested.

I'd join if it was a good forum. I should mention that we first started our forum on proboards and it was there for over 5 years before we moved and already big by the time we did. It has since exploded quite a bit but got a nice solid start on a free host.

Note: I do not condone the use of Proboards in any way whatsoever. Just--yeah. Stay away. I'd much prefer Invisionfree or Zetaboards.

Dashing was on Zetaboards and it was a decent forum so if you can make it as good as that you should do fine 🙂
