I think the Amazon Kindle Fire is one of the best 7 inch eReader tablets running Google Android Gingerbread for 199.99 or less because it has a 1GHz dual core CPU, 512MB RAM, a high resolution LCD display, decent speakers, 802.11N Wifi, 8GB of storage, and a 8 hour battery life.

It is also easy to download and play your MP3s, movies, eBooks, find and download or buy apps, and other digital files you bought on Amazon with it.

I don't have one, but several of my friends do. They're pretty awesome. I'd definitely not mind having one.

I don't have a kindle but I have friends who have purchased them, mostly to take with them on trips instead of packing heavy books around! I am an avid reader myself and would love a kindle for traveling...maybe I will get lucky for Mothers Day

I have the Kindle Fire and I use it mostly on trips. However, I don't use it much for reading as I just don't like it that much. I prefer having the real book in my hands. But that is just a personal preference.

For a tablet, it may not have the App store of Apple or other tablets, but it is cheap in comparison and it works great!

I was selected to get a free Kindle. I can't say I didn't like it but it doesn't compare to my iPad 3. But for the price, you can't go wrong.

I agree for the price the Amazon Kindle Fire is a good deal since there are not many portable devices which has a 7 inch touchscreen, dual-core 1GHz CPU, 8GB space and 512MB of RAM for 199.99 or less.
