I think it is kind of high for Weebly for taking 50% of a persons Adsense earnings, but I guest they need to make a profit to keep the rest of the free websites without ads running since their website has a lot of members, so they need to pay for their web servers somehow.

This is a good option for someone who can't afford a domain, or web hosting, but need to raise 100 dollar payout from Adsense for a paid web host and domain by making money on Weebly.com, but it will take 50% longer reaching the 100 dollar payout because Weebly takes away 50% of your Adsense earnings even if you are a paid member on Weebly.com.

Weebly.com looks like a good place to build backlinks for SEO purposes, so making 50% adsense revenue while building backlinks is better than nothing.

Indeed, Weebly needs the money for hosting the millions of free websites, and blogs on it.

Their premium hosting http://designers.weebly.com/designer_pricing.php is slightly overpriced since you can get shared hosting with more features from HostGator or HawkHost for 4-10 dollars a month instead of paying 8 dollars a month for 500MB and 15 pages to 25 dollars for 10 GB for Unlimited pages on Weebly which is as much as a entry level Managed VPS.

It seems Weebly makes most of their money off of Newbies who don't know anything about web hosting, web design, and online marketing since the prices and percentage of Adsense Revenue they deduct from your earnings are very high compared to Blogger, and other Adsense Revenue sites like the YouTube Partnership.
