🤖 Pip the Mogwai AI – Experimental Deployment (ChatGPT-Prompted Persona Test + Cost Evaluation)

Hey all,

We’ve deployed a new experimental AI instance in the Mogwai Mayhem ecosystem: Pip the Mogwai.

This setup is built using ChatGPT as the underlying model, with a custom system prompt designed to enforce a “Mogwai-like” conversational persona (tone, behaviour patterns, and response constraints aligned with the forum theme).

🧠 Technical Overview​

• Base Model: ChatGPT (API-based deployment)
• Persona Layer: Custom system prompt (“Pip the Mogwai” behavioural framing)
• Integration Scope: Isolated to AI forum section only
• Output Style: Themed responses with Mogwai-style personality constraints
• Interaction Type: Stateless conversational sessions (no long-term memory by default unless explicitly implemented later)

⚙️ Objectives of this Trial​

This is a controlled experiment to evaluate:

• 💰 Cost efficiency at scale (token usage vs user engagement)
• 📊 Load expectations under community interaction patterns
• 🧩 Prompt stability (how well the Mogwai persona holds under varied inputs)
• 🧪 User experience impact in a forum-based AI chat environment
• 🔧 Potential need for tuning, rate limiting, or caching strategies

📉 Key Evaluation Metric​

The main question is whether sustained AI interaction provides enough value-per-cost ratio to justify long-term deployment.

We are especially monitoring:

• Conversation frequency per user
• Average response length (token consumption)
• Repeated query patterns (optimization opportunities)
• Edge-case prompt handling
