Open Source Forum Software
rForums is open-source forum software aiming to bring you the best user and admin experience in a forum. With the next installment of rForums on its way, we plan on delivering beautiful, efficient and secure forum software.
The Beginning
rForums was originally a small project, created by Russell Barnard in October, 2010. It was soon joined by Colin Berry, who has played a major role in the designing of past and future software. rForums quickly progressed to version 1.5 but all was lost with the closure of the current host. But rForums was definitely not out of the game. It was brought back with the support of Canada (Support Moderator) and Ben (Project Manager).
After the loss of some epic progress, rForums moved to a ProBoards hosted Development Board and the team was then joined by genius developer, moneyman18. But after realizing that the coding process was going to take more than 3 people, rForums decided it would be best to recruit some more highly skilled developers if they wanted the software to meet their expectations.
We are now a 8 man team, developing the next generation of forums.
What is Toast?
rForums - Toast is the next major release of our forum software, also known as rForums 2 or rF2. While there is no set release date for it, progress is being made.
The rForums Community
rForums is all about the community, and is very much a community orientated project. Input from anyone is always widely accepted and is never brushed aside. rForums thrives on the direct involvement of the community.
How can I support rForums?
Any support for the rForums project is appreciated! From posting feedback and ideas on our Development Board, to advertising on your forum, anything is welcomed!
