Hi everyone,

i was wondering if 123-reg web hosting is good, it looks really cheap and i already have a domain on there. does anyone have any experience on it and could tell me if it is a good host. I fnot could someone please mention a good host?

I use 123-reg ive got about 15 domains on ther and the only problem i have heard of is you cant renew with paypal you have got to renew with your card details.

Edit - Sorry for not reading right 123-reg hosting is not very good and as MHW said below you can get reseller hosting for a better price.

I wouldn't bother with 123-reg hosting. From what I've heard it's not terribly user friendly - or great value for money. For those kind of prices you can get Unlimited Hosting with the most recent cPanel etc...

My Recommendation would be Site5
(non-referral link)

If you are on about 123-reg.co.uk,I buy my domains from them which have been ok so far but I have not had hosting from them.

123reg.com is great for .co.uk domains but other than that i would go to godaddy -8)-

DO NOT USE GODADDY!!! GO DADDY IS OVER RATED AND SUCKS!!! THEY ARE NOT EVEN RANKED TOP FOR ANY WEBSITE THAT REVIEWS HOSTING COMPANIES!

now go with http://www.hostmonster.com I use them and have had NO problems! Plus they are cheap and ranked one of the top (between 1st and 3rd on all sites) on review sites

Godaddy are not known for their hosting, they are known for the cheap domain name sales.

Host monster just resell and overload thir servers. that is why they are soo cheap

For hosting, I would have to agree that Godaddy are awful. However, I was referring to them for domain names ~razz~

As for HostMonster, that's just another front-end for blueHost.com...they're sister sites owned by the same company. blueHost are great for everything, except running forums or server intensive PHP applications.

Yeah, GoDaddy have reasonable prices on their domains. I didn't even know they offered hosting.

I would stick more towards host that are established as hosts rather then sites that offer hosting on the side. It is usually a sign of the hosting not being that good if it isn't the main thing they offer.

I used namecheap for the first time the other day actually.

They were brilliant. Paid something like £5.51 for a .com domain with a free year's WHOIS protection and a free SSL certificate. ~smile~

Various coupon codes for namecheap can be found here if anyone's interested. ~smile~
