13 year old boy becomes a dad!

If i was either of their parents i would make their lives a living hell from now on.
What purpose would that serve?

I'm still shocked on how this happened O_O What kind of 15 year old has sex with her 13 year old boyfriend? What kind of 13 year old gets a 15 year old as a girlfriend? Crazy...

To make sure they learn their lesson... If you do all the work for them and treat them like they have done nothing wrong it won't help them when it comes to when their daughter grows up. She will grow up seeing that her parents were really young and it doesn't set a good example to her especially if they act like what they did was acceptable.

To be honest, i think its something not worth punishing, they have punished themselves, and will soon come to learn that, they need all the support then can get, especially from their parents, i mean, if the baby was aborted then maybe they deserve to be punished as they havent wasted their childhood, but otherwise its not worth it.

You're the one living in the North where houses are cheaper, and do you live in a council house?

Yes it is a fact that houses are cheaper in the north than the south, mainly places like London though. I could buy a same sized house cheaper here than you could in the south. Unlike you though, I like in a well established city who has just had billions of pounds invested in it. -😉-

And for your information, I don't live in a council house. Your the one who lives in a borough, so there is probably more chance of you living in council house. Christian is from the north, he does not live in a council house infact most people I know don't. And so what if people do live in Council houses? I would rather have people living in a house than on the street or squatting in some abandoned house.

Back on topic:

It has all been caused because of the lack of discipline on the child anyway. If I was sleeping around with girls when I was 13 my mum would have nearly killed me. ~lol~

As someone has already said, all the hard work will be left down to the grandparents probably.

There's a difference between doing all the work for them, and punishing them. Sure, it's totally called for if you don't let them go out with their friends as often, if you force them to take care of the baby on their own sometimes, but adding extra punishment will only make them resent you, not their mistake. It's like putting salt in a wound.

The problem is that they don't seem to think that they really did anything much wrong so they need to see what they did was wrong. One of the reasons they turned out the way that have is that they weren't brought up like they should have been. If they don't see their mistake then t will just carry on through the generations. If they don't see that they did anything wrong they probably would teach their daughter that it is fine for here to get pregnant at 15 or younger which isn't good is it.

I am not saying ignore them all the time and don't help them. It is about making them learn as their daughter will look up to them so they need to teach her what is right and wrong and for that to happen they need to learn what is right and wrong.

Ok then, I have a question.

Whats wrong with what they did?

Together, they both decided as parents to have a child. Although they were young, is that to say there MUST be an age for people to be in order to have children? The sheer fact that they were able to have a child states that nature intended for them to be able to.

WHat, according to you then, is the proper age to decide to have a child?

A 13 year old who has probably only just hit adolesence has had a child with a 15 year old girl. Everything is wrong with it, do you really believe they sat down and discussed it? I am shocked that a 15 year old girl is even having sex with a 13 year old. If the law here states you are not allowed to have sex until you are 16 (and it must be with someone 16+) then it blatently means you cannot have a child until that age. Say there parents was not going to help out? That poor little baby, with parents who are growing up themselves, no money or anything. They are not even ready to be parents.

We don't want a country full of parents who are only 13. They have probably just ruined the rest of the childhood. You know when it is right to be a parent because you will be old enough and mature enough if your ready to bring someone else into the world.

Also, we are able to kill people but it isn't what we are intended to do.

He is getting a DNA test on the baby as some other people have been saying the baby could be theirs.

She is meant to have been sleeping with 8 teenagers around the time she became pregnant

1 strong word comes to mind, it begins with wh -😉-

I am well aware there are laws in place to protect people, I, however, choose to disobey most laws anyway (and so do alot of people, even if small laws).

Of course they sat and talked about it.
"We wanted to have the baby but were worried how people would react. I didn't know what it would be like to be a dad. I will be good, though, and care for it."
They talked about having it, this probably means this wasnt the first time they had sex, either.

Im not big on human laws, mostly since I see them as stupid and pointless (Ya know suicide is illegal?). I like nature's laws better, they make more sense. If someone is able to do something, then it they should be allowed to regardless of what manlaw (xD) says. This includes killing for food, ect. Killing just to kill however, falls under immoral, where I draw the line on that. Having a baby at 13, after youve talked with the other about it, and decided together can hardly been seen as immoral.

People mature at different ages. Freedoms to do things should NOT be at a set age. Here in Ohio, USA, its illegal to engage in sexual acts until you are 18. If I, being 16, recieve photos from my girlfriend on my phone of her nude, I get sent to jail as a sex offender, for possing child porn (even though im 16).

In the end my point is simply, it was up to them, and they decided to go ahead with it. Let them be, make your own choices different if you feel that way.

Really 8 people?

Wow I thought she was ugly, not that that is all that matters or anything.

But you have to give them some respect for not getting an abortion.

I know that TONS of girls around 12-16 get abortions everyday in my school district.

That guy looked like he was 8 too....

That's just terrible. Just curious, but what country do you live in? Edit: Nevermind, I can read. XD

I know he has said that he has discussed it but I think anyone with a bit of common sense and knowledge of what some teenagers are like in the UK would know they clearly have not. Do you really think they would have discussed it if he is now asking for DNA tests to prove it is his? I have seen people like them before, some people just cannot wait to have sex. If you are going to have sex, then at least use protection.

No one is ready to have a child at 13, that is why we have laws. To protect people and keep a controlled environment. Imagine the hell that poor baby will go through when they are at school now. 'Your mum is a slag', 'Your dad is only 13 years older than you'. Anyone with a brain would know that 13 is way to young to be a dad. There is no excuse for this and it isn't right, neither are ready to be parents. Anyone who fails to recognize that in my opinion is an idiot. I have a younger brother, he is slightly younger than 13. If I found out he has just made a girl pregnant I would make sure he isn't allowed out again.

Fair play to them, they didn't get an abortion but it still doesn't mean they are ready to raise a child. If things like this keep happening then I expect anything to happen.

He wouldnt be asking if the news hadnt made so big of a deal and just left him alone. They disscussed it, but when word got out she slept with others, then who in their right mind wouldnt want to double check? If I found out I was a dad, and then found out my girlfriend slept with others, id want to know if it was my kid or not :\

They didnt use protection because they wanted the child. They agreed that they thought they could, and then followed through. Simple as that.

Teenagers have common sense, although it isnt always applied, I will admit that as I am 16. However, how would common sense apply here? They have parents to help take care, thus no money or housing issues. If you think common sense is just not doing what you are told is stupid, then I suppose alot of people dont have common sense. I mean, dont unique ideas which lead to HUGE things usually start by someone doing something everyone else thinks is stupid? Common sense just isnt what everyone else agrees with.

No one is ready? I clearly remember in the older days (when human lives were shorter) girls around 13 were usually mothers of 2. They were ready, so unless youre saying that humans have go backwards over the past few hundreds years, that doesnt apply at all.

I suppose in your opinion, im an idiot. I really dont care though, ask around, youre not the first to think that.

Thats your brother. Thats your thoughts. This is the area where is shows you are falling to peer and social pressure, allow others thoughts to interupt your own. Since you were little im sure your own parents, and schools have told you that this is stupid and wrong to have a child at that age. These are also the people who told you santa was real. I stopped trusting and listening to all complete sources of power, I think as I like with no influences, and I see past what alot of people just cant.

Dont allow societys thoughts to get in the way of what is naturally correct.

Fair play to them, they didn't get an abortion but it still doesn't mean they are ready to raise a child. If things like this keep happening then I expect anything to happen.
Anything SHOULD happen. There should be no limits, as limits only limit. Why does paper have a size? Your forced to make all your thoughts fit onto it. What if paper was sizeless? Stories could last forever, art could go on for lightyears...instead, because of the limits in place, that doesnt happen. Humans make limits, we limit ourselves. Once we as a race figure this out, and take the steps to remove these limits, only then can we truely see and understand what, and who we are.

Open your mind, see two happy parents raising the gift of life probably better than most parents who breakup and leave the child to have a confused understanding of life.

Ghost I am dropping this because I see no point in discussing it with you.

Do you even know what some teenagers are like in the UK? They are not two happy parents, it is a 13 year old who hasn't a clue on what life is even like yet and a 15 year old who obviously has a reputation of sleeping around.

A 13 year old also doesn't have the understanding of life fully yet so I can't see how that is going to help his child. If you want a world full of 13 year old fathers then that is your choice but I know what I would rather have. Even at my age I wouldn't say I have not experienced how hard life can be yet and I am a lot older and maturer than him.

I had to laugh at that, that doesn't exist here. Kids just have sex, without protection..mainly because they havent learnt about contraception (here in the UK anyways). So to say they agreed about having a kid is bull, especially when she was off with ' 8 ' other lads around the same time.

I cannot say I know what teenagers in the UK are like, but im a teenager, and thats the information im going off of. I think that having a child at 13 forces them to learn how to take care of it, and forces them to be resonsable, which if youve seen what some adults are like, needs to be taught younger, imo.

I have yet to experinced life at its highest or lowest as well, but that means nothing here. Even my dad, who is a father of two could tomorrow face the most terrible moment of his life (like I die or something).

Ill also drop the topic, because if we dont, then we'll need to move this to the debate forum -lol-
