Im pretty good at "real" leet. Im also pretty good with cht spk as well. I text alot -lol-

Its not that heard to learn, its just like reading normal but with some numbers and signs in there =P

Its just like anything else though, as long as you try hard and spend time learning youll be fine. Im not sure where you can find a tutorial though...I taught myself x.x

What is funny is in SMF 1.1.x (they disabled it so far in 2.0 beta x ) when you get up to 1337 posts, it says Posts:leet. There is a way to disable it if you like though -lol-

1337.com is still popular (although I hate how they restrict registrations -roll- ). I think that leet is still used on the net, but maybe the fad has died down.

I read a few of the rules and topics, theyre really strict on who they let in, even google-ing your email address...thats extreme.
