I have shut down this topic to prevent a backlog of requests.

Elseb, our exchange is still ongoing, I have wrapped up my exchanges in anticipation of the possibility that we might be b-tch-slapped by Hurricane Sandy and I might lose power, cell signal and net access as a result, (I live in a flood zone a few blocks north of Sheepshead Bay and it could overflow and we were flooded from Irene last year and it could be worse since Sandy is headed for us) and of all of my exchanges, and despite my pm remider and the fact that you said you'd be on a few nights ago, you are the only one that has yet to even start your end.

I hope we'll be ok and im sure we will but I dont want to take any chances on someone requesting an exchange and then getting no response.
 
I've reopened this thread because, since I didn't die in the hurricane, I can resume exchanges..

Edit:

Due to extenuating circumstances, Elseb, has an indefinite amount of time to complete his exchange. I'd state a reason why, but I will just respect his privacy in this matter.
 
Like i said in the PM i sent you, my Grandad passed away in my arms on friday so i haven't been on anybody's forums except my own. I will have your exchange done by the end of the week.

Yeah I have just responded, to your pm, and I have editted my post accordingly. As I have said above, I would have stated the reason why, but I wanted to respect your privacy.

But as you've mentioned it, I'll just post what I sent you via pm.

In fact, this is our third exchange, the other 2 were ended early because you refused to do your end. Although, to your credit, this is the first time that it was due to extenuating circumstances.

That being said though, why didn't you just suspend the exchange, or at least inform me that there were extenuating circumstances? I'm not a bitch, really, I'm not, (although, you've no idea how sh-tty I feel right now, knowing the circumstances) and am very lenient, I would have understood. Hell, I was going through a hurricane, and not only did I lose power, but my host did as well, half of my neighborhood is flooded and my husband practically had to snorkel to work.. and I have had to suspend my other exchanges until further notice for that reason.

I completed yours early because I knew you were on the other side of the planet and unaffected by the hurricane, and I didn't want you to think that I wasn't going to uphold my end of the exchange, just in case I couldn't log on to your forum. (In a previous exchange, you did think that I ended our exchange days prior, in due to the fact that I log in anonymously, even though I told you that I didn't, and just value my privacy.)

Provided that the clean up goes well on the roads directly south of NYC, I will be on vacation. I'll be leaving Saturday, and returning the following Friday, however, I will have my devices with me and so, I should be able to stay connected, provided that we don't end up in a corn field somewhere and there are no cell towers in sight for miles. So, if you need more time, or anything else, then please don't hesitate to contact me.

Take all of the time you need. You have more important things to be worrying about now, not only having lost your grandfather, but, the circumstances in which you lost him as well. Once again, I am really, very, very, very sorry for your loss, and even sorrier for the misunderstanding as well.

My prayers and condolences go out to you and your family in this difficult time.

You're right though, i should have informed you. I guess i figured you'd seen the topic on my forum but that was my mistake.
