Do you normally use 1st class or 2nd class stamps when sending letters? I normally use 1st class stamps as they are only a little bit more expensive but the letter will arrive within the next working day.

1st class stamps because they would arrive in the next day. Even though there expensive you're paying for better quality.

When I buy stamps, I generally go after the first class stamps. Though, if I don't have stamps and I need to send that day, I will pay for whatever gets the letter mailed.

I usually purchase 1st class stamps, although they are more costly. They're great to use for sending documents that must reach a destination quickly. I don't think I've ever used a 2nd class stamp in my life. xD

I don't know what class they are, I just tell the lady behind the counter at the post office "Can I get a book of stamps?" and pay the $9 or whatever it is.

1st class all the time unless I want it delivered before 1 pm then I pay extra

Small postage is pretty much all a one way 50cent ticket as I can see in stamps, and I go through books/rolls of them. When you buy a stamp in The States -- a stamp is just a Forever stamp. I could be wrong, but I have not experienced any problems to date.

I send a lot of packages and I weigh them and insure them as needed on larger stuff depending on the package content.

I normally just buy the Forever stamps as well. If I need a package to get to its destinations faster I'll use USPS expedited shipping.
