Forum Pros:
I'm really digging this dark skin you have going. some may think it might be a little too dark, judging by their preference, but i think it's really slick.
You forum seems to be well organized for what you have going at the moment. But, I would suggest placing Introductions directly underneath "forum feedback", and moving graphics in the entertainment section; and removing the community category. You always want Intros being the first thing new members see when joining, just after the forum related sections, such as news & feedback.
Forum Cons:
The banner's a good first approach; but i think it might need less coloring. You have a dark theme all around the skin, why not match it up with the banner? And, another thing on the banner, it doesn't quite fit the forum length. Notice how it hits the edge perfectly on the left, but doesn't on the right. Either get on that fits perfectly, or try and add <center> tags around it, so it centers up on the forum.
Well, your forum's News section is kinda empty. May want to add a list of your forum rules, and other material, such as a staff team list, and other important info new members may need to know.
Final/General Thoughts:
It looks very good for just getting set up recently, and you've got things on the right track. Just be sure to be actively involved with the community, supplying fresh topics daily. And get out and advertise, get active with member post exchanges; and be sure to check out our other services we can offer.

I really liked the dark theme, just woulda like to have sen a matching banner to go with it.

Maybe it's not fixable, but the category bars would look better, if they were the total width of the forum, and not cut off 3/4's of the way
