1) I am so sick of getting mysql errors on my forum. Why do they happen?

2) The Rep MOD. The spread thing, can it reduced to 3 people rather than 5/6?

1) your mysql is down, you need to contact your host.

Not necessarily, this could be caused by a bad MOD installation. If the host's sql server was down, he would get a general error when trying to access his site.

@sbfc: Post your mysql error in the forum support area so we can check where the error might be.

If you joined just before you did you would have been sick of the sight of them here... i certainly was -lol-

As for the reputation spread setting i personally don't have an problem as it encourages people to give reputation to a wider amount of people rather then just to the same couple of people all the time.

The sql error is fixed.

I know what you mean about the rep mod fowler, but that wouldn't stop reducing the spread to 3

For what the offer it isn't bad and if you get on a good server it is good although they usually put new people on the crap servers because everybody asks to be moved off them so there are lots of space on the crap ones.

Nearly every hosts oversells.

If you'd post the SQL error we'd be able to see if it were host-related or something you've done 😉

It was something like too many connections or can't connect to MySQL then it was host related.
