What about the ad above the forums categories? The one with 'advertise here'? Is that for sale and what's the price? I would be interested in a position above the fold and not in the footer, where it can get unnoticed.

Those can be bought with forum cash. I can sell you a 1 month spot up there for just $10. Note that it is rotating. If you want a solo spot, it's available but it will be displayed below the forums.
