200 Car Accidents Reported

Hi everyone,

So, I live in Cobb County, GA. It hasn't snowed here since 2011 when we had that huge ice storm. It started snowing at 9:30am this morning (eastern standard time). About a minute later, schools announced a two hour early release. About an hour ago all of Atlanta began to shut down and all employees were sent home. Since then, some of the roads have iced over. Over 200 hundred accidents have been reported so far in my county a lone. I am originally from the north, so I am use to this type of thing, but people here are idiots when it comes to driving in the snow. I am glad it's snowing, but I wish that people had the sense to close dookie down as of yesterday knowing this was coming. //End Rant.

Do you have snow where you are? How do you feel about it?

I wouldn't call people idiots for not being equipped to handle something new to them.

As for the OP topic questions, yes we have snow and while I love snow, it's too cold to do anything. The snow has also ruined quite a few plans of mine so I'm about sick of it. :lol:

These people know that when it snows here you do NOT drive period because down here our cities are not equipped to salt the roads and make them somewhat save for people to commute. It's their own stupidity for driving in current conditions and the cities fault for not closing things down when they knew this was gonna hit.

Yes, snow can put a damper on your plans. Living and growing up in the north is horrible. (LOL)

In Canada it was pretty bad, lots of trees fell. For me, the ice storm was in December though. 🙂 Everything had a nice 10cm wall of ice on. When it started melting, I guess we were lucky not to flood Canada. :lol:
