Does anyone here use the 24-hour clock instead of 12 hour? I know most people outside of the America's use it already, but what about others here?

I have been using the 24-hour clock exclusively for the past year and a half and it's been awesome. I work in IT so I deal with the 24-hour clock anyways since I manage servers, but I also use zulu for my time telling as well, along with 3 other time zones since I work for a global company. I have been trying to get my fiance to use the 24 hour clock, but she just hasn't caught on.

I am familiar with the 24-hour time so I understand perfectly if you tell me you are going to have dinner because it is the 19 hours or something. I like it because it minimizes misunderstandings (specially for after midday hours). You can picture faster the time of the day with it.

That said, people around me use AM/PM so I am pretty much used to deal with my daily life with it unless someones text me or talks to me first in 24Hr format, but I am basically assuming no near me really does.

Most of my clocks are 24 hour clocks, except for one old style mechanical wall clock.
People don't really talk in 24 hours though, as Kaynil pointed out.

All my PCs are set to 24 hours clock! and used to the 24 hours clock when I'm flying in FSX

I'm a 12 hour girl 😀 The 24 hour clock reminds me too much of military time and I just can't get into that.

I've rarely used 24 hour clocks, but I can live with using them when I need to. In the case of working with people from other countries, I tend to keep that clock in mind if I know they might use the 24 hour format.

I've only ever used the 24-hour clock/military time. It helped me a lot. Sucks that not a lot of people know what time it is when I call it. I always end up having to use the 12-hour time convention anyway.

This. I tell my fiance to meet somewhere at 1800 and she's like "What time is that in normal people time?"...I don't get why people think it's hard to understand. If it's before 12, it's normal time. After 12, just add 12. After awhile, it'll become second nature.
