Today marks the first ever anniversary of 2 Hours Until Closing Time.

This message board was an old idea I never went through with many, many years ago. As mentioned in the forum updates thread, we've got a brand new additional theme for membera to try if they wish. I also changed an old Tumblr to the " 2 Hours Until Closing Time" brand.

Wow! That year went by quite fast! Congrats to you 🙂 Do you have a goal for the next anniversary?

Great job! Making it past the first year is the best feeling!

Congrats on one year! I’m sure there’s many more on the way.

Things have been a little slow latetly as I have been having some ongoing medical issues since December. However, I am starting to pick up the pace which includes...

A new board added for film music and soundtracks. Originally this was to be part of the board anyway but was held off as I was worried how much use it may/may not have and that section was pretty well padded with forums. I was thinking at work today however "just add it!" soundtracks and music are an essential part of films and can make or break them. I also have a few new "Theme month" ideas brewing!

We've had a john Hughes (The director) month, but in a much more wider vein this month we are having a march madness Crazy Comedy month! So all month long come along and discuss all your favourite funny movies. (And any other types in the other areas.)

I've also been trying something a little different with the banners latetly, adapting my sig style, but it's still on trial. If it's too much, like on loading times; then I'll just go back to the old method. 🙂

Welcome to the DANGER ZONE!!!

If you don't know what that means then you've been living under a rock! From his early days from an Outsider, to Maverick the Top Gun, Lestat the vampire, an agent in the Mission Impossible films to Jack Reacher, and that doesn't even begin to include the many many different types of films he's done!

This month with the recent release of Top Gun: Maverick, we're celebrating with Tom Cruise month, with a special celebratory board where you can discuss any of his many, many films in his illustrious carrer so far! Admitidlly, this is a bit last minute, even though the banner was always going to be "Born Of The Fourth July" for this month, but we hope you make the most of this and tell us which of his film you like the moat. Maybe you don't like him as an actor, that's fine too. If you do however let's get some film discussions going because..

I fell the need..

The need for speed!

Bit of a tidy up on our portal page, some re-organisation, as well as upcoming events:

Long before I concieved the message board years ago, before I even opened it on a previous occasion and never went through with it, I had the idea for a different forum banner each month featuring a different film. Well this spooktober throughout next month I will be having a different horror themed banner - every.single.day.

That means for the last 8/9 months I've slowly been making horror banners on/off for this from classic, old to new horror films. Starting With 1978's Halloween on #day one, each day after will be randomly chosen from the list I will publish on October 1st. How wil I make it random? I've wrote the name of each film on a bit of paper and screwd it up:

Not even I will know which one I'm picking out! There's no way to tell. Can you predict the one for the next day however? When I publish the list on October 1st, you can put a guess on which of the remaining 30 will be the next day's banner. If you guess right, all bets are of for the next day and you get to choose the next day's one!

Can you guess correctly?

Enjoy the spooky season everyone!

New forum added:

A new forum has been added called "Quick Review", seen a movie and wanna just give a quick review, then this is the place!

Today see's the celebration of our second anniversary!

As well the the 2.0 version of the theme, the main sticking point is also the retirement of the "Four ages of cinema" boards in favour of new releases and Cinema Vaults forums. This is also as we are expanding our TV section as well so this will help accomadate things.
