Does anyone know any good font styles in GIMP?
What is the best way to save the file? xcf, png, jpg, etc?
Depending on which one I choose, does it go blurry?

Any font which you like can used for gimp.....just download some of your favourite fonts and use them for gimp.

While saving there is an option showing a list of extensions using which any file can be saved. Just choose the extensions which suit you...change the name of the file and hit save...

2) I know but I'm asking what would be the best.
3) It's linked with the 2nd question. If I chose a certain way (xcf, png, jpg, etc) will it loose the picture quality?

I usually prefer png coz it allows transparent background..
