Welcome to the Community Competition​

The Sportainment Media Group are pleased to announce our 'Welcome to the Community Competition' to celebrate the successful re-design and re-organization of all of our networked message boards.

With the recent purchases and integration of the Gabble Forums and Rockstar Gaming to add to our ever growing list of networked boards we have launched this competition to revive interest in websites that were once popular and died off, while also bringing new members to our already established websites.

So here is the jist of the competition. Our network currently has five boards that are all networked together, by this we mean that you need to only register on one to post on all of them, and all of your information is shared (eg: Avatar, Rank, Post Count, Private Messages etc).

We have a wide range of discussions across our entire network from sport to cooking, supernatural to ufo's and conspiracy theories, gaming to general discussions and just for fun we have thrown in some webmaster stuff as well to ensure that what ever you are looking for you can find it on our network.

The 'Welcome to the Community Competition' is a posting and referral competition, so the person with the most posts (quality of quantity) and the most referrals to our network until the end July will receive $300USD cold, hard cash to spend on anything you want.

Payment will be made what-ever way you decide, whether it is paypal, direct-deposit or a cheque sent to your address it will be cash and will allow you to spend it on anything and everything that you want.

We are inviting people to come and participate in our community, and join us in continuing its growth and this invitation is extended to you.

So quality posts over quantity? I don't get it? Please explain how this will be judged. Also how are referrals monitored. And where do you sign up. Does it start at the start of july? How are posts managed etc etc.

The competition starts now as it's part of our launching of the two additional websites which takes us up to five.

We have community cash - which is earned by posting (much like FP Cash here) however my administration and moderation team have been given the permissions/rights to double someones credits (per post) if its more about quality.

Quality over quantity means posting a helpful, topic related thread will earn more points than replying to 100 threads saying "Awesome, Thanks etc".

So for example if you posted a number of threads a couple saying "awesome, thanks" you may earn 10 Community Cash (our forum cash), however posting a nice post about sport, the uneXplainable or a cooking recipe the administrators/moderators will click one button and your points for that thread (could have earned you 10 CC) would be immediately doubled.

Referrals, once you sign up on our site (http://www.sports-force.net.au/forums/register.php) you are then able to post on all five websites with the same username and password, in your user control panel (link will be at the top of the page once your registered) there will be your user referral code: eg: http://www.sports-force.net.au/userid=102 if people click that to register you will be credited with the referral or when they register it asks for their referrer if they typed in KMROCK you will be awarded the referral - or if you think someone signed up from you however you haven't been given the cred for it you contact me and I will ask them how they found out about the site if they say you then you get the points for it.

Competition starts now - goes to end of July 2011 - $300 is the prize for 1st place, $150 for second and $50 for third.

Okay, how does it work then with previous members, as they would already have more CC cash than us. And is it judged on CC cash, as can't you transfer CC cash to other people, which would void the posting component of it. Also is there a leaderboard.

A leader board is posted each week. Everyone starts from zero with CC - as with this software we have for credits you can have multiple currencies so we have a second hidden currency set up to handle this competition.

Everyone starts from zero and have been only accuring since the competition was announced an hour or so ago.

How many point are given for referrals? And does the referred member need to post or?

You get 50CC (Sorry they aren't really CC's but just easier to refer to them as it) for a referral to register - it moves to 100CC for their first post that is not an introduction and 150 once they have made their first ten posts.

First of all for everyone commending the competition thank you. It is mainly thanks to some of our network sponsors who have made pledges towards it to try and get our network secure and to try and get the name out of our new acquisitions.

For those asking questions I hope this will answer it:
1) You can post anywhere on the network (five websites) that will count towards the competition - it is our way of not only advertising our current sites but also our two new ones.

2) Friends/Family just need to register for it to be a referral, however once they make a post you get additional points and additional ones for each ten posts they make -- so the more posts they make the more you earn for referring them.

3) This will continue until the end of July at such time a winner will be announced and we will be searching in the mean time for a competition to replace it we are looking to have different competition each month - and haven't ruled out site based competitions eg: Amazon Gift Voucher available for posting on The UneXplainable, or a sporting voucher for our sports site, etc

We are committed to having a different competition each month and o those who sign up and take part in this one will already be registered and able to take part in future ones.

The Sportainment Media Group receives nothing from this apart from what we are all after which is posts/registrations and threads, we have an aim to push towards 100 000 posts by the end of the year, yes we are a while away from that however with these types of competitions and our continued news, information and content postings we are sure we will get the name out about it.

The $300 prize (and the smaller 2nd and 3rd place prizings) is coming from the kitty we have built up by network sponsors opting to spend it for something like this rather than advertising on places like FP (for now don't worry Fergal we will be back) - we just needed to try something different.
