Last night I went to bed at 175-180 members on in the past 24 hours (this was constant all day), I wake up and we're at 220 members on in the past 24 hours. Traffic has increased by about 200 hits from yesterday, so this is a pretty good surprise. I'm like this increase, hoping to hit a constant 300 daily hits in around a month or so.

Thanks Bart, I really do hope this activity increase is a long term spurt, not just a daily coincidence. Although from the looks of the traffic statistics, this is a spread of direct hits and Google hits, which is great. Although it's also odd too, we moved DOWN on the first page for a 160k/mo search term, but up for multiple other terms. Googles probably just doing a dance with the domain.

Keep investing mate, that's honestly my best advice. I've invested about $1,500 back into the forum, and I'm about to invest another $600 more in 2 or so weeks. All the money I make from the forum goes back into the forum. I'm currently in the midst of rolling out a brand new (never before seen) feature on my forum. Things like that keep your members on your forum and get you an activity kick.

Definitely is, without goals I wouldn't be doing this at all. There sadly is no way to make sure goals are met online, this is due to the various factors which we have no control of. A majority (over half) of my traffic is from Google. I have invested about $10 into SEO and I seem to have succeeded, although I can't give myself a goal to increase any SEO rankings since I honestly haven't invested anything into it. By making this a goal, it's unrealistic and will ultimately lead to the goals failure.

Thanks Fergal, we're hitting a constant 900-1.3k daily post rate at the moment. We'll be at 200k posts before July 11th (forums birthday). Well, I've currently got a custom design being developed for $100, and a brand new feature that will benefit all the users, as it allows game-account integration into the forum. In other words, with one simple task, the forum becomes much more enjoyable as they'll have access to much more and other benefits. It's still in the works, but that alone will cost me $300.
This night was also fantastic, I was contacted by a generous user and he donated $300 USD to me. Now I've got much more to invest back into the forum, which has opened up MANY opportunities.

I work full-time and spend some of my money on promoting my forum as well but nowhere near as much as you. Good work.
