4-day workweek

What can you say about a 4-day workweek instead of the usual 5-day workweek? Instead of working for 8 hours a day, it will be 10 hours of work every day for 4 days. The rationale is to lessen the traffic. That is a proposed law that already have passed the Philippines congress and will be tackled in the senate. When it becomes a law, will it really serve its purpose in lessening the traffic?

I wouldn't mind working a little bit of extra time during the 4 days I would be working so that I would be able to have that extra day off. That would give me more time to do other things in my time off from work because I'm not working that 5th day. I don't see that the traffic would be any worse if the work week was changed to a 4 day work week from the current 5 day work week.

I already work a 4 day week but I work 9pm to 8am in a care home
yes sometimes I work 5 night if short staff

I know I would love the extra day off, even if I have to work 10 hour days.

Working 10 hours a day is quite tough but having an extra day off to compensation for that seems nice. I think it depends on the work. If I like what I am doing, then 10 hours a day should be fine.
