Just bought 2 domains:
Generalforum.org
Generalforums.net

What would you price these at?

Just bought these as well:
Meltdowns.org
Meltdowns.net

Re: 2 domains

They were available I literally just bought them on the last 15 minutes

I'll search for some more info but I bought on my iPhone and am still on it so Internet research isn't the best :/

-- Sat Jul 28, 2012 4:48 pm --

Seems like generalforum.org used to be a massive forum then it was tuned into a page to show ads

Re: 2 domains

I would say about $100 for both 🙂

Re: 2 domains

They're nice and I'd say worth more than you paid for them. Probably $20 each. The issue is that I've been finding domains super hard to sell lately- even good ones....

Re: 2 domains

Got each for normal price.
I might sell em if I get good offers or rent them out for FP so users can have their own general form with a great domain.

Or I'll co admin them, or perhaps just oversee them but not get too involved.

Re: 2 domains

To a Reseller maybe $20-$50 each.
To an end user maybe $50-$100 each.

@sambiling
crowdsurfing.com ($5,500 USD)
amsp.org ($1,795 USD)
constable.org ($3,988 USD)
dbd.net ($5,500 USD)
winetours.net ($1,566 USD)
baris.com ($4,500 USD)

Re: 2 domains

Yes and I've had what I would consider premium domains before and they're hard to sell. It doesn't matter that YOU think a domain is worth $100, most people will try and find alternatives for that domain rather than forking out. You may have to site on a domain for years before selling it at a nice profit.

That is definitely true. If you are selling Cool.com for $1,000 someone may want to just register Coolness.org for $75 (or whatever).

Exactly, although you can get lucky if you're selling in the right place! good Luck 🙂

Sorry I have to post this:
If someone was selling cool.com for $1,000 then there would be a line of people trying to get it
Cool.com would sell for a minimum of $50K.
Where you sell the domain isn't as important as when you sell the domain.

Do you think its worth buying a domain at such higher rates. Cause its just foruming and you dont earn a single penny with these forums.

Zeeshan, I don't mind about money I have a good amount in the bank 🙂
Also, foruming is a hobby. It's like someone who paints model airplanes. They probably paint it and put it on a desk or shelf. They don't sell it.

I'm comfortable paying money for domains/hosting etc for my hobby and not making a single penny from it.

However, I want to resell some of these, even if it is for FP.

For some people they will be worth $50+...but for others who have no interest or use for them...worth around $10. Selling them is hard, you just have to find the right area/interested parties.
