We all get negative ratings from @Hidden308 for stating how we feel about this moron coming into office? This thread is a trap. Not cool.

Oh boy here comes the liberal who can't accept critism. Some may like Trump, but I guess you could not have guess that based off who won the election. Surprise, surprise. Opinions are like assholes, get used to it and grow up. Not everyone going to agree with your view point.

So don't go accusing this thread and lying because my view point doesn't match up with yours. I can disagree with posts I disagree with that is the point of the rating system. If you dislike it so much. Maybe you should post it in the community matters to have the rating system removed since it doesn't fit your 'views'.

Not to defend Hillary Clinton (because I think she was also a terrible candidate), but she did get over two million more votes than Donald Trump did. I think it's problematic that Donald Trump "won" the election even though he came in second place. Are we really a democracy?

EDIT: For the record, I did not vote for Hillary Clinton.

To be honest as per popular vote. Wayne county in Detroit, Michigan there is reports of 37% more votes than there is population in which Hillary won big, but a investigation was denied. Yet recounts sponsored by Jill Stein in Wisconsin gave Trump more votes because some votes were not counted and Hillary lost a addition of nearly 20,000 votes.

As for if we are a Democracy no we are not and have never been one fully. USA has always been a Republic but with democracy type freedoms such as gun rights, freedom of speech, etc. Electoral College was invented by Democratic party to favor minorities and give a voice to smaller populated states. To be fair just because someone wins a popular vote doesn't make them the best decision. Hitler should be a good example of this and Hillary used many quotes from Hitler during her campaign which bothered me personally.

To those who believe popular vote over electoral though and accepted the Democratic nomination are hypocrites when Bernie won 10% more in popular vote than Hillary for the nomination and Hillary won due to rigging the nomination and bribing super delegates.

I voted for Bernie Sanders in the primary. I was just as disappointed in Hillary Clinton and the DNC as everyone else. I would never have voted for Hillary Clinton in a million years even before the primary.

It's worth noting as well that the Democratic Party did not exist when the electoral college was invented. The Democratic Party did not exist until 1828, and the Democratic Party of that era was pro-slavery.

Same here to bad I have to work that day, but I will be sure to watch it on video on Youtube once I got home. I got a new 4k 65" Vizio TV just for the occasion so I will be watching it on the big screen. 😉

Awesome! 😀 I'm probably gonna take a day off. Usually I have work, but I have paid time off days I can spare, especially for an occasion this big!

I am technically not ready to take a side because of two reasons:

1. I am not from the US, so I feel I can wait and watch and then take a side because Trump being the US president isnt going to affect me directly for now.
2. For me, I always thought he was a joke. But honestly, now I think this might get serious.

Going to be very intersting for the year of 2017
