After around 3 years and 3 months, we have finally hit 500,000 posts which is a brilliant achievement for any forum. It has taken a while and alot of effort from many people to get us here.
The staff put an amazing amount of effort into the forum and the services and without the hard work of the staff and the members alike, we would not be celebrating this achievement today.
You might be thinking what have we got planned to celebrate (I am sure you have noticed the banner already but if not clear your browsers cache or hold ctrl + F5)? We also have some new services coming your way but with a twist.
Part 1
The new services are Home Page Sponsor Ad and Forum Redirect Link
The reason for the change of how requests are made is just to not only make the services more fun but also to make it a bit more manageable. Because of this we will have no need to queue requests for weeks or have services offline for weeks and also the price of the service matches the amount of cash around. Setting prices for services is hard as some weeks everyone wants a service yet some weeks we struggle to fill the spaces. When the amount of cash on the forum decreases, the final bid for the services will decrease too so we don't have to worry about changing it often and getting the price just right as it is automatically adjusted so to speak.
Additionally part of the aim of the new way of requesting services by "Bidding" is to make it more exciting. Rather then just posting a topic and forgetting about it, this requires being tactical and adds a bit of friendly competition (just like in an auction on Ebay). It can be easier to buy something from a shop but the bidding experience of Ebay for example can add more excitement to it.
Of course we are open to constructive suggestions and feedback. We don't really know how well it is going to go without trying it live on the forum so this is really an online test for us to see how well it works and what the users opinions on it are. We felt we needed to try something different so a few new services with a new way to request them was be a great idea in our opinion. The idea of these services are to be higher priced services. We have services aimed at the members with less FP cash such as the banner ads, reviews, signature ads and bubble ads but we hope these aimed at the more richer members among us. FP cash can be earned quite quickly. At the bottom of this post you will find ways you can earn FP cash if you need some more :yes:

Well you may have noticed a little hint above about "when the amount of cash on the forum decreases". We felt something was needed to reduce the amount of FP cash in rotation and we did have a think about it and thought we should offer some upgrades for users. We have put together a list of updates (more will be added over time) that you can buy using forum cash. These upgrades do not only give you more here but you can even get a free domain in exchange for FP Cash!

Again we are very open to constructive feedback here. The prices are subject to change and may be increased or decreased at any time. The main aims of this change is to give users more and to improve the value of FP cash. We are also hoping that by removing alot of FP cash from the system that we could also run some little contests and games for users to win some extra FP cash (obviously in a controlled manor to ensue that there is not to much FP cash around like there has been). Hopefully in the near future we will be able to enable the bank feature which has been requested a few times. Again this all depends on how much extra FP cash gets taken out of the system. We hope that it will increase the number of exchanges taking place. We hope all users will start spending their cash and not just saving it 😉
Some people may think that these are quite expensive but at the moment there is hundreds of thousands of FP cash around the forum. You can earn it either through posts or in one of the following ways:

- Selling unwanted sites, domains or even sell a service in our marketplace
