I have a few questions.

1. What is the purpose of your blog?

2. What target audience you will be catering to?

3. What do you want your logo to say about your blog?

4. What symbol best portrays your blog?

I really know nothing about SEM, so the answers to these questions should help me a lot. 🙂

To start off, SEM stands for Search Engine Marketing. I would put this simply as SEO (Search Engine Optimization, but with paid implementations).

1. What is the purpose of your blog?
To deliver information (like tips, tricks, latest news) about SEM and to create a community of webmasters that can read the information and learn something new.

2. What target audience you will be catering to?
Anyone that owns something to do with the Internet, even a Twitter account. 🙂 Generally, its anyone with a website, looking to achieve.

3. What do you want your logo to say about your blog?
To rise higher (reach) above all other sites. I would like something which says that this blog is one of a kind (though we all try to achieve that) and can really be something where people can return to.

4. What symbol best portrays your blog?
I was thinking maybe some sort of arrow, possibly integrated with the one letter of the word.

That's so odd, David. I forgot I had asked you these questions and went into Photoshop to draft a logo for you. Sure enough, without reading your answers to these questions, I integrated an arrow pointing upwards. Take a look:

Obviously I can change the color of the gradient easily to match your site's theme.

Wow Zane, I'm quite liking it. It would be great if you could change the color to match my site. From what I've seen, I will probably pick yours (and if I do, I hope it wouldn't be too much to ask for the .psd file, please). Cheers. 🙂

Coppa, its nice, though I would associate that with something brandable.

Kirisute Gomen, its unique for sure, but I can't see it being used on the site.
