So many of you may be aware that I'm developing a sort of gaming social network. At the moment we will be having: a blog, a forum, a video's section, a games section (each game has a page). And of course all the social network like features (messages, friends etc.).

What I want to know is: What do you think of those features? What would you expect from a gaming social network? What other features would you like?

I think these features are good to start off with. However, you would require more to bring more people in.

• groups for different games (like the facebook groups)
• maybe a point system where they can earn points to exchange for games
• regular competitions with games as prizes
• guides section and public discussion area for this

Games have their own page, and here you can find the latest news, tips, guides etc. for the game and a comment system to discuss the game. So it's sort of like a group I guess.

Competitions would definitely be good idea, maybe having a section where users can choose what contests they want to enter as well.

I was going to have a guides section but didn't think of the discussion area. That would be useful. Thank you very much for the suggestions and looking forward to hearing more 😀. Not sure if you want the 100FP$? 😛

It seems like you see a lot of buzz surrounding eSports so many a news page with professional eSports news?

Also surrounding that, maybe you have some sort of clan/temp pages and allow for tournaments, leagues, etc.

As I experience in my previous browser games, I also like having:

an achievements trophy this is common though.
a friendlist to create a cycle of friends.
I think "hall of fame" is very interesting.
Notification web and email, I like this.
Lots of emoji/smilies to express emotions.
unique web themes for every occasion. Many people like me appreciate this.
Login/Daily bonus to secure traffic return.
