It was less than a month ago when I posted that Game Rebels reached the 60k milestone! Now, yesterday on the 16th of July, we have passed 70,000 posts. It's another great achievement because this means our members created more than 10,000 posts in less than a month!

With statistics telling me that we are probably going to reach surpass 12k posts this month! Exciting times πŸ™‚

Congratulations and now it's time to go to 100,000 posts
The goal is to get to 100k by the end of 2017 πŸ™‚

Just got to get at least 6k posts a month πŸ™‚

Thanks, everyone, It's been crazy!

I have been working non-stop on the site. The new game shop has been our top priority to get out. Once that it is, there are still so much more planned features for the site! I really want to help increase the quality of content that is on the site too.

That's excellent, well Jordan and all involved. The forum really does look great and I hope it continues to be successful for you.

You reward members with game codes, are those codes for your own site or for another gaming platform?

The shop is actually closed right now as we are doing a complete overhaul! It is one of the big improvement features coming to the site soon!
This is the new shop homepage:

And we also have a "claim" system and a "Bundle" system now too:

The "Claim" system, or "redeem" system is basically a system that once a game is purchased you don't see the game key code until it is redeemed. That way you can gift the game to someone else if you want. Once the game is redeemed, the gifting option is no longer there.
The "Bundles" system is there so we can have multiple steam keys in a single purchase.

Anyhow, to answer your question the codes are for Steam. If you are a gamer on the PC you would have heard of steam πŸ™‚ So say, someone buys Grand Theft Auto 5, they will get a steam code that they can redeem on their steam account, which then puts the GTA5 game in their inventory.

Thanks for all that Jordan, the new shop homepage looks really excellent, as do all the existing graphics on the forum. I've been considering offering Steam codes on ForumCoin. Do you mind me asking which Steam site you are purchasing the codes from?

Ya the game shop of ours is going to be exciting to finally release. The entire process is automated, so we don't need staff to send any codes. In fact, I'm the only one who sees any of the steam codes for security reasons. That is until someone buys a game. It is then automatically inserted into their account!

Anyhow, the places I buy the games from are 3 different sites atm.

I have a partnership with Green Man Gaming (Referral link), they send me steam codes once in a blue moon. Also, for every so many people I send their way they credit my account with $60. However, sometimes GMG is not the cheapest to get codes, or they may not have a certain game.

So I also pay $12/month for the Humble Monthly as well, which most the games I don't play so I just give them to friends. This monthly subscription though gives you 10% discount on all the games on the Humble Store. Which because I will pay for so many games a month, the amount I save makes up way more than the $12 I pay monthly so it is worth it.

Now finally, I also get games at Bundle Stars. You can save a lot from getting games from here. Most of the time they offer some great bundles. With that, they also offer a "Star Deal" every other day which often times is a triple A game for an insane discount.

It is also important for me that everywhere I get my games from, that they are an officially licensed retailer. For all of their Steam keys are sourced directly from the game's official publisher or authorized distributors. I don't support sites like G2A which has been known to sell stolen keys.

Thanks very much for all those details Jordan, that really is very helpful and much appreciated.

Wishing you continued success and growth for your forum.
