Congratulations on the milestone :great:

Thank you guys!!

This is Acorn. I lost my password to my account Acorn and it isn't accepting my email so I'm stuck with this account now. But it's still me!

We moved all the way over to SMF now so, can I have my sig's link on my other account Acorn changed? Thanks!!!

well we moved...and it's been downhill from there.

Activity is dropping off, and with it my confidence and enthusiasm for it. I've tried everything.

Not ONE new member has come in since the move. Guests DO find us; we are on google again, and yet, no one who has signed up since the move has actually decided to participate. We all know that type. Well, that's all we get now.

It's over. I am contemplating whether to try and sell it while it's still busy or just keep my promise to my members that I would never abandon it, and let it play out until it dies.

I owe so many people an apology. HCF, who broke his back helping me get this place working on SMF. HCF, you're awesome, period. Alex, who also gave a great amount of help to me and first helped me determine whether it would work. And of course, all my members, to whom I promised this would bring us into a positive era not one of decline.

I can't eat, I can't sleep, I can't muster up the desire to do much of anything lately.

50,000 posts in 24 days is 'activity dropping off'?

Ha. My girlfriend is an active member on the forum XP (Phantom)

Congrats on the milestone. The site seems to be growing.. very fast. I would kill to get 50,000 posts in a year.. not to mention 24 days...

Looks like you are doing great! Don't loose confidence in something just after moving!

It's been dropping off since the move, yes. Nobody new has joined since the move and a handful have already left. For the first time in many months we dropped below 200 active users a day...we were close to 250 daily just before the move and also right after the move. We used to get a couple active new members per day, more on weekends. It only seems like a lot because our current members {who haven't left yet} are still posting a lot.

It's all relative. But thanks for the words of encouragement. Hi Chibi, if I see Phantom today I'll tell her you said hi 🙂

That's amazing. i will be amazed if my form ever reaches 10,000 post for days, and you are complaining about getting 50,000 in 24 days?

Anyways I wish you the best of luck, and don't lose confidence 😉

My forum barely gets 24,000 posts in 24 days and I'm probably your nearest competitor here lol. I wouldn't be complaining.

Yeah... 🙂 I know.

It's more out of fear than anything that I feel this way. Any kind of slump {and this isn't a slump for most, but it is for us because it's less compared to what it was} terrifies me.

Competitors, eh Cloverfield? I never thought we were. I mean we're both fandom sites, but for two different things.

Thanks guys. Really...You do help keep things in perspective. I know we are in some peril now but it is probably not as bad as I think.
