A Bad word against 000webhost

Someone on FP is offering me unlimited plan only $10/month and im willing to pay that, Its not that hard to fork some money into a forum/site that you are dedicated to.

I have never used them before, but heard bad things, and reading this thread makes me learn more. There are many hosting sites to choose from other than them.

Don't waste your money on that, that's not a good deal.

You can get unlimited everything at Empire Hostings for $4.49 a month, don't spend more than double that just because it's the first you found. And you don't REALLY need unlimited right now, you can start smaller if money is a problem.

Can't believe people can't just fork out a dollar or two for hosting. I'm only paying $1 a month for unlimited offshore hosting, and the downtime is still better than 000webhost.

Some people can't fork out much. I mean, I sell hosting for $6 a year but if you can't afford that I'd suggest looking at an offering if free hosting from a provider- they do occur.

If you can't afford to spend .50 cents a month, something is wrong and you should probably be working instead of running a forum or site. That may sound harsh, but it's the truth. I don't care if you don't like it. 😉

I agree..I mean you can probably find .50 cent in the couch or something...Hell even walk in a parking lot and you could find more then a dollar or something. A homeless person could afford $10 a month.

I've used 000webhost on one MyBB forum in the past but, it kept on going down and it didn't seem to want to behave with the PHP.

I know its not relevant but something worst is FuvoHosting.com every time i edit a file i get the Internal Server Error it stays there for a good month before i even can backup my data and move on, the owner is never online ethier..

My forum is more than a year old and we had an restart now. I am in VPS from the day i started my forum.

IT is just 7$ per month for my VPS. Any one need VPS, Just ask me.

It's hard for some people to pay for hosting and that's why there are a few services that are free that are good but the rest like some from youhosting are just horrible aka powrhost.

It was 2 years ago, But I used them for 5 minutes and my site was refused service just because they didn't accept mybb forums ;(
Sounds doughty coming from a popular hosting company.

They wouldn't allow MyBB forums/scripts? Weird! It's not like it's a ripoff of Vbulletin or anything, and most Cpanels you can install almost any software you want, free or paid. That's ridiculous! I wonder what they saw wrong with MyBB forums?

000webhost is good for those who are new to web hosting and website managing.

If you are serious about your site, you should go for paid hosting.

I've used 000Webhost briefly and it was absolutely pathetic. It was for a website I wanted to have along with my forum at the time that was on another host (thank God). It took forever to get the activation email, which was a huge piss-off because I wanted to start NOW, not an hour from now, really slow loading, not so very nice uptime, couldn't find my way around the Cpanel for anything, it was just not a good experience and I would NOT recommend this host to anybody.
