Alright, so just tonight my laptop has started a new thing to piss me off. I have the charger plugged in, for a while, it'll say charging, then it might stop charging on its own (even though it's not fully charged). Then it'll start charging again.

Anyone know what the issue it? (going to bed now, will reply when I get up)

It sounds like your AC adapter has a short in it. You may need to replace the AC adapter. Does the cord that plugs into the wall come apart from the AC adapter? If so, then try replacing that cord with one that looks just like it (you may have one laying around if you're anything like me) and see if that fixes the problem. If not, then you probably need to replace the AC adapter.

Either a cord problem, or an outlet problem...Try changing outlets, if not, definitely do what they ^ say.

I'm going with everyone else and I'm going to say it's a cord issue. I had the same issue awhile back while charging my laptop. I bought a new charger and everything started working and the laptop started charging the way it should.

I've checked the cord, but it all seems fine. I can't really find any issues.

What else could cause this?

Possibly something in the charger port of your laptop? That's the next thing that comes to mind.

I'll give it a check and sweep. I really don't wanna have to take this to Best Buy, 'cause then I'll have to send it in for repairs.

Still though, wouldn't that be worth it in the long run?

Is the part that plugs into the computer bent, even in the slightest bit? The old Macbook cords were made of crap, and I'm on my second, and even that one barely works.

You mean the charger cord? Ya. My station is at the dinner table. and the cord does bend a bit.

I have a problem with my cord, though it may come out the tiniest bit and not charge at all, thinking im plugged in.

Not sure about this :\

Like Kirisute said, if the part that plugs into the laptop is bent even the slightest bit, then the laptop might not charge. If that's the case, then you might have to replace the AC adapter. :/

Blow out any obstruction, if any, in all the connection spots and try directly plugging it in from the wall to the laptop without trying to stretch the cord and make sure all the connections are secure.

If that doesn't work then try using a different cord or buy a new one and if that still does not fix it then it has to be the laptop connection because thats the only other option.

Good luck and let me know how it goes 🙂
