A question ...

If my forum were to be deleted but i had a backup of the sql database, would i be able to restore all of my categories, forums, posts, topics, users e.x. ? Or would i loose everything ? I'm not exactly sure how it works.

All settings and posts/members are stored in the database so restoring the backup will keep everything. Still keep a backup of the files aswell though so you can keep any mod edits etc.

In addition to what Fowler has said, you will only recover the amount of posts, topics, members etc. when you did the database backup, so be sure to back up regularly :great:

If your forum is quite active as stated above do a backup often, i run one every day.
