A software 90% similar to vB?

Themes get ported all the time. Most of the time they are IPB or vB themes getting ported to a free software, but I have seen free software's themes get ported to other free software.

Why did they choose the vB theme, go for IPB 3 😀

They are in the Alpha stage of 1.2 , I am getting excited 😀
 
THhis software screams MyBB, and he hasn't done a good job of covering up the fact he's basically re-released MyBB with a different skin and new name. I might as well re-release phpBB but call it, "mhwBB".

Mind you, one thing I like about the viewtopic page (although quickly becomes annoying) is the fading posts. All posts are dimmed out with the exception of the post you're hovering over. Needs lots of work doing to make it worth ever considering.

Not an easy industry to get into, open source forum software. What with the likes of phpBB, SMF and MyBB making great strides to compete with one another.
 
It's more of the skin that makes it like vB rather than the software itself.

The closest open-source software that's anything like vB is MyBB.

And that is exactly what the forum software is based off, I think he is making it more of vB than MyBB.
 
The version, 1.2 alpha on their forum looks pretty damn sweet.

I love the fade effect, although i wouldn't trust it just yet.
 
That's what i was just thinking, installing it on LocalHost now, see how it is in the ACP etc.
 
Oh gimme a yell through PM and tell me how it is, although i wouldn't get the 1.0, id most likely get the awesome 1.2 on the Community forum 😛
 
Heh, all installed. Admin Panel is exactly the same as mybb the same with the install, 1.2 looks pretty nice.
 
1.2 looks like it is a big advancement on 1.0, looking forward to it 😀
 
Are you guys seriously considering switching just because it has an imitation for a vB theme?
 
Nope and im probably not going to switch, it just looks good and id love to see the progress they'll make.
 
This looks like a complete rip-off. Won't even bother to test it.
 
Actually, the admincp looks different for me, because they have admincp styles for it. :lol:, I changed mine to the 2nd one they had its alot better than MyBB. 🙂
