A unique Idea!?!?

I need on deciding how my forum will be set out

It is a webmaster forum but to be unique I'm thinking about applying a darker theme. Don't see admin forums with dark themes

Of course I can change it back

Is this A good idea and is this unique (For the genre)

Just because you apply a dark theme to it does not mean it is unique.

It also concerns me that every example you give in your threads is a hacking forum 😱

Don't worry I'm not intersting in owning nor what anything todo with hacking forums, Just see hacking forums with darker Themes.

I think you should stop always putting your forum into maintenance mode for weeks, you don't need to close a forum to make a few updates.

I think the forum is struggling on Mybb
Not many decent themes

I want xenfero or Vbulletin but Carnt afford it 😀
But I might try PHPBB if I can find a good theme

Just wanted to firstly say Webmaster and Admin are not the same things. You can have an admin based forum with webmaster areas 'n' such but they are not based around the same thing.

A dark theme is not unique.


Also to have a successful admin forum you do not need to be "unique". You need to provide good quality content, keep active and promote, promote, promote.

Obviously having some unique things is great but quality content is far more important. If you write articles and different things like that people will want to stay and read new ones and that also applies to other things like that.


A custom theme no matter how good will not make a community unique. It will make you look unique but that's a completely different area of uniqueness.
