Heya guys!
Glad I found you people. I hope we can get to know each other better. I suck at introductions if you didn't realize that already from that "wonderful" opening line but here it goes;
I'm a lady in her twenties that has a business degree but prefers to work at the supermarket. Though, only the food-lines. Here I spend a lot of hours every week to run the bread-department.

Aside from that, I run my own writing forum, I binge watch a lot of series. Movies not as much anymore though I appreciate the regular hollywood creation. Sometimes I write myself. Not as much as I used to, but trying to get back into it.
I also fully intend to start horseback riding and/or swimming again soon. When I can pretend to have a schedule and a semblance of free time.

Uhm, what else is there? I'm the proud slave to a cat named Xanthe, a 10 week old ... something. (The vet asked her breed, I could only say "uhm, something with 4 paws that meows. I doubt there's a 'breed' in there")

So yeah, that's that, I think. I'm sure I forgot stuff so don't hesitate to ask! I can't wait to get to know other around here.

Your introduction is the best that I read in some time, Not many members post about themselves. Rather then one line stated that "Hello I'm new" 😕

You have came to the right place, Welcome to forum promotion

I hate one liners. They tell you absolutely nothing except "I don't wanna do this but I gotta so here is this one line to perform my duty"
Instead I overshare!

Hey SolviturC! You have to tell us more, why do you prefer working at a supermarket? I've done my fair time working in one and didn't like it!

It's not so much the supermarket I like, as it is the fact I run the bread-department. Officially I don't run it but my boss is useless in this regard :banghead: I've done pretty much the same job in the hospitality branche and and I have better pay, better hours and better co-workers for basically the same work.

You see, I'm a busy body. I need to be able to do a lot at my job, preferably running around. I'm not a desk-person. If I don't have something to do, I'll find something to do. Much to the annoyance of certain coworkers and to much delight of my boss.
I know a lot about breads, cakes and everything else that comes with my department. I rarely have to say "no" to customers. And it's fun to solve basic issues. People with dietary restrictions still want an edible cake or bread. Whether we like it or not, food is a bare necessity of life.
I'm not pretending to be important, or a life saver. I'm a surgeon, and I don't work at NASA ("it ain't rocket science") But it's always nice to see people walk away satisfied because they found a place where they find what they wanted. It's satisfying to know they'll return because I took time to talk to them, figure out what they wanted and could actually provide this.

Another plus is that my boss let's me do whatever. He figured out some time ago I know better and do what I want and deem necessary anyway.

Yeah I understand that. Job satisfaction is more important than anything else and if you are getting that from what you do then stick with it! Stay passionate!

This is very true!
I mean, I'll get bored here eventually. I usually do after like 3 years, but until then, I fully plan on doing my job to the best of my ability.

No you won't, 😀 you can't get bored on FP.. lol
I meant at my job because I'm sure I'll have a hard time getting bored here,as you said 😉
Can't wait to get to know even more people! So many great threads already to respond to, to get me thinking critically as well as light and fun games.

So glad I found this place <3
