What are your views on abortion? Are you pro-life or pro-choice?

My girlfriend and I cannot see eye to eye on this subject. She's pro-choice and I'm pro-life. I think I'm pro-life because I like to argue with her though. I've always been pro-choice. lol

In this day and age there is no reason for Abortion we have the Pill condoms ect plus the morning after pill

Definitely pro-choice. While proper birth control should help prevent unwanted pregnancies, there are certain situations in which I believe a mother should have the choice to abort.

I honestly think it's their choice. Many women choose to have abortions because of rape or very critical health problems to their baby or what their baby could be doing to their bodies. That's the only way I'll support it.

Pro choice. Women are the ones who carry and then birth the children. Ultimately, they should be able to decide whether they want to undergo the bodily changes that come with a pregnancy, or not.

Babies have no say in the matter. It's their life.
I will not call the "baby" a baby until it is out of the womb. Just like how you don't refer to tadpoles as "baby frogs" I will not call fetuses "babies."

But the baby they're carrying is living - like a baby already born.

Doesn't make sense ethically or scientifically. It's just your wishful thinking!

Okay, but that's not really my concern. I am not for pregnancies just being terminated whenever one feels like it, but if a woman legitimately is afraid of dying, being permanently damaged physically, or just doesn't want to give birth to a child produced from a rape or incestual situation - or if she just doesn't feel she can financially take care of the unborn child - then she should have the right to get an abortion. Why? Because she's the one who's gonna have to carry it until birth. That affects her life in many ways such as work, career, etc.

And to add to that, fetuses aren't babies. Killing babies is wrong, yes, but killing something the size of a grain of rice that has no consciousness or feeling isn't killing babies.

And there are limits to when a mother can choose to abort. Usually its long before they've developed enough to be able to feel anything or really be "alive" whatsoever.

Nothing is one hundred percent. The pill is quite effective but is very much open to failure. It has to be taken at the exact same time each day, and humans are far from infallible. I'm sure many of the teenagers bouncing between abusive foster homes were a result of a missed pill.

A baby is essentially a parasite until it is born. Forcing a woman to carry a parasite for nine months involuntarily is not ethical.

If men could get pregnant, there would be drive-through abortion clinics.

lol Drive-thru abortion clinics must be uncomfortable. Does the doctor come in the car? Do you just stick your legs out of the window? I need details.

Honestly, if you're going to argue life/death power over a fetus, then why not a premature baby? I don't get the logic of pro-choice people.

OK, not trying to offend here - but just an obvious conclusion.

I think it's okay to abort under certain situations but I wouldn't want to abort personally out of choice. If I was to get my girl friend pregnant I'd like to go through with it as that child could have a great future however, I understand why other choose to abort.

Knocking up a girl just isn't a reason for abortion. I mean, it's tough to even justify massive deformities for abortion - though I could somewhat see the reasoning.

I think the real reason why people have such a tough time seeing the other side's reasoning behind abortion is confirmation bias.

What do you mean? A life is involved here, but pro-choice people don't think it's a life - even though - if it was born, it would be a premature baby.
