Abortion

and she'll look at the kid she has and be quite depressed with her choice. thats how it happens. so make a follow up when you do have a kid

So...you killed a kid with a beating heart and fully functional brain because it couldn't survive outside of its mom? JUST SEND IT TO A RELATIVE.

Good point. LET'S MAKE MURDER LEGAL, BECAUSE THE MURDERER CAN DO WHAT THEY WANT.

Seriously, imagine THAT world, and WAIT, we live in it, to an extent.

... who are you to tell someone what they have to do with their body?

the government does. you cant smoke pot, do crack or jump of bridges. so why cant they? your arguments have not been thought out very well.

Ok, now that I'm done with my fit of rage, sorry for yelling in ALL CAPS.

And Gqgk is right.

I don't blame you for using all caps and screaming. I have an urge to do that at times in this thread also 🙂

me too. especially when your best argument so far has been you can do whatever you want to your own body, which is obviously and blatantly untrue based on the laws we have

Fact list I compiled;

1) This debate will never end until we can prove when the "soul" is formed and the life actually begins, thus making a fine line between stopping further cell growth, and actually killing.

2) Though some women can make the choice themselves, sometimes they do look towards their husband / boyfriend for help on the matter, that comes down to the woman at hand and is a personal choice.

3) The "illegal to do whatever to your body" thing doesn't work either way. Suicide is illegal, yet it's easy enough that people do it anyway. I don't agree with those laws as I find them too personal, but this is yet another debate, leave this issue alone as it can't really be debated within this debate.

Just throwing that out there. I want to watch this.

Did I ever say I agreed with those laws?

it doesnt matter. its called a precedent and its how the majority of our laws are formed

So...if it has all scientific characterists of life it ISN'T alive? WOW, I LEARNED THAT NOTHING IS ALIVE.

/sarcasm.

Really? It isn't alive if it has all the characteristics of life?

It doesn't develop all those until a certain point. This point is currently unknown and thus us the leading reason why the debate exists, as it is the only line that truly defines "Murder".

Nuke, Biology 101 does NOT teach that life begins at conception. When life actually does begin is one of the most difficult questions and debates that goes on in the scientific community. The ultra religious make that claim, and general pro-lifers do, because it feels like it begins at conception to them. Pro-choice disagrees.

The fact here is that scientists haven't a clue, and your statement is extremely inaccurate.

im on the fence about abortion. I always have been. Im a mom and I love being a mom. I have 2 wonderful kids.
My son was NOT planned and abortion is something that was brought up.
I was also raped when i was in highschool. I was scare to death that i was pregnant. I was fortunate that i wasnt. had I been though, there is no way that I could have carried that baby. YES adoption is always an option but I was so traumatized by the events that I was on medication and wasnt allowed to be on my own.

I dont think that it should be made illegal. There will always be 'underground' abortion. It would only get worse if it is made illegal. More women will die of infection, improper care, malpractice, you name it.

yea, but at the same time you dont know until you go through it first hand. and those women have. i have been influenced closely by it first hand. i just lost a kid via miscarriage. it wasnt even 3 weeks old. and i cant tell you how hard it was on the mom. imagine how hard it would be if she actually chose to do it. it wasnt even 3 weeks old and she felt that way. so until you know first hand you cant say anything about it

Read my previous post to get a woman POV !!!!

This is the first time that I read through ALL the posts.

I HAVE been in that situation AND I have lost 3 babies within the last year all due to Miscarriage. It was VERY hard to deal with for both me and my husband but we got through it.

I lost the first baby at 10 weeks and the other 2 at 3 weeks.

I DO know what its like first hand to experience BOTH. Having to think that you may have to get an abortion is NOT something that i would wish upon anyone at any time. I have seen pictures, I have read peoples opinions, I have been told that I was going to hell, and called every name in the book.

I am VERY Pro Choice. Someone should NOT be made to carry a child from Rape. had I actually been pregnant and made to carry that child, there is no doubt in my mind what would have happened to me.

Someone should not be forced to carry a child at all, whether it be rape or consensual sex it related from.

The fathers opinion should be taking into serious consideration however the woman should get the final say. Im pro choice. Its my uterus, not yours.
Having said that, I have 3 kids, first was born when I was just 18. I was mature enough to understand the responsibility and was willing to do what I had to, to provide a good life for my child. It would have been "easier" to get an abortion, but I didnt see the need since my husband (boyfriend at the time) and I were both on board with the pregnancy.
It should not be used as birth control.
