Active Posting Rings [Now a real thing!]

Had an idea and just wanted to throw it out there to get some ideas going and comments on it. The active posting ring goes like this:

X amount of members join up together and all agree to post a certain amount of posts on each other's forums. For example, let's say that there are 5 members in the posting ring. Each member agrees to post 3 times on every forum per day. That means you get 15 posts per day and you do 15 posts.
Okay so maybe this isn't THAT cool?
However, the reason it is nice is because you are not doing 15 posts on one person's forum. Instead you are doing three posts on separate forums which is easy because you'll always be able to find 3 threads to post in.

What do you guys think?

I'd be in, but what if it got a bit out of control and like 50 people were in it? We can't really post on 50 forums.

There's a limit on how many people can join the circle for precisely that reason. The point of the posting ring is so it is an easy way to do exchanges, with no huge commitments.
7 days of 5 posts per day on 3 other forums. End of the week, you have 105 new posts from 3 different members all posting 5 posts per day.

I think for the posting ring to be efficient the most it could go up to would be 10. However, that is pushing it. Because lets say even if you did want to post 5 posts per day on 10 different forums it would be hard to manage. What if someone wants to drop out? Or has some difficulties and can't post that day.

I think the right number is 5, though I'm starting with 4 (including myself) just to try it out. 5 forums, 5 posts on each per day sounds pretty easy and its 175 posts per week from them, plus your own plus all the ones from members from before and/or other exchanges you have going on.

Maybe if enough were interested we could have more than one ring? Then every now and again swap the members around to give the forums more members etc? I think we should do this:

Member #3
Member #4

Post ring 2
Member #1
Member #2

and so on...

Then after 1 week of posting, swap all the members around so you have different people in your ring.

I have added a second ring to my thread for more people to come join.
I have not yet added anything about members switching rings yet as I would like to see how it goes and whether members like the ring idea initially. If they like it though I am sure they will request to be in a new ring again as soon as the first ring ends (set at 7 days initially).

However, putting different members together each time a ring ends/starts is definitely a good idea.

If we get a lot of interest it would be good if we kept all the same genres in the same ring.

Yes, I think the idea will catch on rather quickly and topic based rings will be a huge thing. They are good for small amounts of people as they are quick to set up, and you aren't making a huge commitment for posts and along with that the amount of posts / time can be changed as long as all the members agree.

It will definitely be cool to see this happen more often because I think it will take the bore out of posting. Foruming is supposed to be fun, not like work and doing chores. gtg bed though

You only need 4 more members.
The reason for the member requirement is so ring members do not find that they have nowhere to post later in the week.

You also only need 11 more threads. It will be easy to meet this requirement. It will only take a matter of minutes to do this.

Or how about you let each member join w/e posting rings they want? That would make sense since you can now join 3 rings if you have the time to fulfill it.

Also build in a feature to if a user misses a day, or did not reach the allotted amount (said so by any of the other members in the posting ring) they can flag that user and leave an explanation - as that user is probably trying to abuse the system.

Who babysits and makes sure these people actually do their work and don't just get the benefits?
