Activity Traffic

Simply keep promoting at every place you can think of, keep updating posts and topics as well. Also, take advantage of services that many forum promotion sites offer, such as packages and reviews. This should help alot.

Add your link to your signature at larger Nintendo forums and gaming forums. I wouldn't bother with promotion forums as much because they are filled with administrators/webmasters, and not your average gamer.

That is true. While forum promotion sites do bring some traffic to your forum, it's never a guarantee as all you'll be showing your site off to is fellow forum owners/administrators. I go on general chat forums similar to mine and add my banner in my signature when allowed. It's helped some, but not alot though. Basically, all you can really do is experiment different forum promotion methods and find out what works best for you, and if you find that option does work best, feel free to keep on using that method.

Why would you promote (maybe solely) your forum to a large group of webmasters, developers and people on the technical/admin side of things? Wouldn't it be better to promote to gamers, and technology minded people?

It's up to you, but I would discourage you in doing so. Why not make dedicated members of your forum staff members? Why should someone with zero posts become your next moderator who probably has little experience? That probably wouldn't be fair on members.

I Probably Make Them Graphics,Writters Jobs Like Moderator And Administrator are for members have been there and are loyal

Webmaster forums and promotion forums will help you in the short term, but in the long run you really are better off advertising on forums with the same genera as yours, by putting your link in your signature when allowed. The only reason I still use promotion forums despite the fact that my site is almost a year old, is because it's just a habit I've gotten into, you know, bumping up my topic every few days, stuff like that. And it's an atmosphere I feel comfortable in as far as promotion forums, so that's why I commence doing it. Although lately I have been advertising on forums that are the same genera as mine, and those do give you loads better results, because you're advertising to people who have similar or even the same interests as you do.

I agree with DavidL wholeheartedly. While it is okay to advertise for staff members on promotion forums, it is definitely not recommended. Why? Simply because on a promotion forum, you really have no idea who to trust. Sure, they could be one of the best posters out there and get along with everyone on the board, no matter what their attitude is generally like, but someone else's forum isn't a good place to be checking stuff like that out. Because how a person acts on Forum A versus how they are on Forum B can be two totally different things. The main bit would be to look at your main memberbase if you truly want to know whether or not you can trust them, and whether you think he/she would be a good candidate for the job. It's just like the rule of thumb with the real world: Never trust a complete stranger. Seeing how someone is on a forum is kind of like seeing how they are in real life. You have to look at everything: Personality, activity, all of it. It's never a good idea to send a total stranger a private message with: Are you interested in a staffing position on my forum? Your best bet is to use your active member list and see who's helping out without backseat moderation, who's making really decent posts, that sort of thing. I think getting a job in the foruming world is sort of like applying for a job in the real world. Pretty much the same concept, except if it's volunteer work, you wouldn't be asking anything about minimum wages unless a forum owner in particular is willing to pay you like they would on an actual job.

Ok Hoe about just graphics job since they don’t have the power to add there own staff
