Don't bother, post exchanges don't really do it. A good way is to sig advertise on forums that are of a topic related to your forum's topic or the same topic.

I don't even request exchanges anymore. Some people can be downright demanding about them, so I agree with it not being worth it. I don't even do them as a last resort anymore for the same reasons. Basically my advice would be to keep your posting up to date, and add new topics of interest and things like that.

Yeah and the more back links you get out there the more likely your site will show up on google and other search engines. Give your forum some time and like others have said put the link in your signature and get your name out there!

Post exchanges works great if you exchange with quality people, so what are you talking about? If you have posts/threads already on your board, then an exchange will work wonders. I've been doing them for years, and they work - because my community also has real members posting, so the exchanging members, drive in new content for my members.

It's a win situation. :cheer:
