If you have advertisements on your site, where do you put them?

On my forum we have one ad in the footer and another after all the forum categories, before the board statistics.

No advertisements. Just affiliates. Not in it for the money, and there's no money in most forums these days.

Not sure about forums, but for a business website I do not prefer for selling ads.

I don't put ads on my online conversions site as it is a free service to the public.
