I don't use an adblocker for EVERY SITE. For example, I don't use adblock for lovinity.org, FP, and some other sites I love. If I am agiasnt your site and/or it has video ads, auto playing ads, pop ups, pop up ads, and ads that clutter the page, I WILL use adblock. Examples include youtube, deviantart, ff.net and some others.

I mostly use uBlock for new sites I have never visited or if I am certain they have the annoying kind of advertisement. Even then it is very likely I just will stop visiting as it sends a message to me that squeezing every cent they can is more important than keeping their visitors happy, so I don't want to support owners like that. It is to me a bit like hospitality business. Take too many shortcuts to save money and your customers will leave unsatisfied because the quality goes down. You have show care and respect and the devil is in the detail.

I think that when you are a responsible owner and explain your situation and try to make sure the adverts are not intrusive, some visitors will consider to whitelist you. At the very least I am that kind of person. When I am in a site I know and trust I tend to whitelist it by force of habit even if the site itself is not generating adverts, haha.

When browsing around the internet, do you use an adblocker? I have one browser with one installed and another without so I use each browser differently depending on if I want to support a site (Like FP) by seeing ads or not.

I use an adblocker on sites that I have not determined I trust yet. Reason being is ads can be dangerous for your computer if the website is malicious and serves dangerous ads. However, usually trusted websites do not serve malicious ads... and ads help financially support them. Therefore, I turn off ad blocker for websites I can trust, such as FP.
