Have any FP members ever tried the ad network AdBrite?

If so, did you find any success using it? Did your site benefit much? Did the members enjoy the ads displayed by the network?

My Adsense pays about twenty times that of when I used AdBrite. Average on Adbrite .22 cents a day, Adsense $4 to $5 a day.

Probably comes from the fact that AdBrite ads usually had nothing to do with the content of the page where as Adsense usually has more relevant ads.

Depending on the subject of the site though I suppose it could be different for some people.

In the past, Ive got two $5 checks from adbrite after months of running their ads. Hardly worth inconveniencing the members with flashy (sometimes talking) ads for such little in return.

Of course members didn't "enjoy" having ads disrupt their browsing experience... But I made three times the amount of revenue I made with AdSense in only a fraction of the time.

I have both adsense and adbrite on the same site, and currently adbrite is earning an average of 50 cents a day, while adsense is usually earning 5-10 dollars a day. Both will go up, as soon as most university students, and the politically active get into the swing of things for the next 9 months.

I never used AdBrite. Is there any more recent experience with them?

I didn't know SiteScout bought AdBrite. 😱

I've used SiteScout before and I really liked them, they are pretty easy to use overall. I havn't used them in recent times however I cannot imagine them changing things drastically. One thing I like is their AdVault, just upload all your ads at once and publish them when you're ready. ^.^ You even have your own ad builder which is nice. 😛

How are the CPM/CPC rates? Do you think AdBrite has an advantage or disadvantage based on how much they pay webmasters / how much they cost for advertisers?

It was alright, however now considering they have acquired AdBrite and grown over the time I haven't been there, I'm sure it's grown. According to their homepage statistics, I would advertise with them. 😛

And I'm not really sure about their advantages/disadvantages, It would really all depend on their rates of today, which I don't know.
