So I am a part of a couple of health forums where I have 200+ posts on each forum. I recently started a skin care forum and am looking to gain backlinks. If I add the link to my signature on those health forums, will I automatically gain 400+ backlinks because of all those posts I did in the past? The same could go for this forum. If I added my forum to my signature now, will I gain 300+ backlinks because I have over 300 posts?
It all depends on forum processes. Most of professional forums only show signature at the post at that point in time you have included signature in CP, and some of them show signature to all posts that you have previously posted. I suggest you to not publish your signature in all posts. Doing so, there would be two bad action performed by you. First is irrelevancy because there would be many posts posted by you random and irrelevant, secondly many backlinks from a single website can also cause a trouble for your website to be penalized because of C-class Issues. Instead use many forums to generate backlinks from forums instead of a few.
